Electric Solenoids

Can we use electric solenoids on the robot?

Looking in the rules, I was only able to see a section about how to use pneumatics solenoids.

Electronic solenoids are expressly forbidden, as they would constitute additional motors.

To clarify they fail the additional parts flow chart from the manual under the additional motor/solenoid rule.
