Another question about LEDs on the OI.

We read that we can use LEDs on the OI joystick ports, and when we ripped apart the cable from a joystick from a few years back, we found that there are only 10 wires, for 15 pins. On the 3rd joystick port, there are 4 pins for LEDs, but no wires for them. What would we have to do to connect an LED to this port? Would we have to wire it directly to the pin on the OI? Or is there a way to run another wire or something to the joystick cable? Thanks for the help.

You will want to get something like that and make a custom connector. LED you hook between the LED Pin and Ground.

Re: Another question about LEDs on the OI.

We used insulation displacement connectors (IDC's) from Black Box. The male connector is P/N FG115 and the female connector is P/N FG110. (They also sell ribbon cable - P/N EY241A - but 100' is probably much more than you need.)
