You need to be a little more specific. On the robot you must follow the wiring diagram in the robot manual and use the connectors and terminals specified. Also check the First Tips and guidlines doc on the First website. |

what nirty means is that we want to create a 6AWG extention to for the quick Anderson connector cables...

I believe Terminal Supply carries them. I have bought them from Allied Electronics in the past. |

Re: connect to wires (6WG) togther
Some inspectors get very particular about this. We use a connector that looks a lot like the ones on the battery, just bigger for two 6AWG wires. Crank it down with a wrench and wrap with tape.

You can splice the #6 with an approved crimp splice (butt splice) made for #6. I see this as introducing another point of failure though and would recommend purchasing additional pins for the Anderson power connector for you local outlet or Terminal Supply. If the butt splice is your only alternative, we would cut off the insulation, crimp and solder the wire and then use heatshrink or electrical tape to solder the joint when cool. Use the added #6 wire in your kit to make the correct length wire. If that doesn't work for you, you can use the smaller fuse panel as a tie point to extend the power wiring to where you need. I would be hesitant to suggest any other method, without making you illegal sometime in the future. |

Re: connect to wires (6WG) togther
well... we delivered our robot and ended up re-wiring a lot of stuff so we won't need any extentions
