Re: What Other Films Are You Waiting For?

Van Helsing looks quite interesting. There's a Japanese anime series called Hellsink (however you spell it, that's phonetical) and it's also about a vampire. Maybe there's a connection.

I'm more interested in Kill Bill Volume II... which is supposed to come out next month. Who knows.

I've been hearing rumors of a new Fantastic Four movie that's supposed to be made sometime. I would love to see that if they really do make it.
otherwise, I wanna see Pirates of the caribbean 2, x-men 3, Harry Potter, and Lady Killers.

I'm not into the action/horror/sci-fi scene..... I have been waiting for Dirty Dancing: Havannah Nights since November. Not much longer, it'll be worth the wait!

Re: What Other Films Are You Waiting For?

Does anyone actually know when Kill Bill 2 is supposed to premiere? I saw the first one and thought it was excellent! Also, did anyone see The Last Samurai? That movie rocked! At first I thought it was going to be horrible, but it turned out ok.

Re: What Other Films Are You Waiting For?

Just got back from seeing Nascar 3D: The Imax Experience. Of all the professional sports out there I'd say racing is the most similar to FIRST. They even pointed out that engineers are what really drive the teams, not the sterotypical grease monkey (a future carrer FIRST could lead to).
The movie is very infromative and LOUD(you can actually feel the sound comming out of those IMAX speakers) and when you veiw racing on the track it is exhilarting. I haven 't seen many IMAX films (saw the Two Towers in the IMAX theater and was dissapointed that they basically ran it in standard fromat so all you really had was the great sound. I was equally dissapointed Fantasia 2000 wasn't in 3D) but I can readily say this is the best one I have seen. A.

I'm not sure how I missed this thread coming back to life yet again.

I had a chance to preview NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience before it opened to the general public on Friday -- such are the perks of being a geek, I guess. On the whole, I thought it was a pretty good movie as far as IMAX movies go, but it wasn't really all that amazing. As with other movies, the aerial photography is where IMAX really shines.

IMAX films are shot in the same aspect ratio as television, not feature films. However, all feature length films that are shown in IMAX undergo a process for adapting them to the larger film format so they do not lose quality as the image is scaled up.

In the future, expect Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to open in IMAX two weeks after its debut in traditional theaters this summer.

My favorite Imax movie so far is Everest. I had just finished reading Into Thin Air a couple of weeks before I saw it, which made the movie all the more intense. The only other two I really remember much about is one about roller coasters and another one about storm chasers.

Re: What Other Films Are You Waiting For?

USA network just showed the first (very gory) 10 minutes of the new Dawn of the Dead movie.
Looks very intense.
But I don't know if I want to bother with it after seeing 28 Hours Later last year.

I thought it was pretty intense, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw it at 2am, alone in a dark room.

Re: What Other Films Are You Waiting For?

I think anything that you watch in a dark room at 2am can be pretty intense.

I remember that's how it was when I played the video game Silent Hill on PS1 the first time I played it.
That freaked me out.
