1997 BMW 318ti (5 speed manual). Zippy little thing, I like it, it's a lot of fun to drive.

Re: What kind of car do you drive??

You have a Camaro, with gobs of torque, and decent bhp, N/a, and you want a ROTARY? Those things can barely hit 300bhp n/a, and the turbocharged ones, have fun rebuilding every 75/100,000 miles. Oh, and the torque, fuggedaboutit.

To the MX3 and SA22C owner, ditch the wing on the MX-3, it looks so out of place, even if it is OEM.

well, the reason i want a rotary is because of its awesome weight balance and handling characteristics (i sooo want to do autocross) and i know the FDs were and still are dominators of that sport. I dont mind the maintenance i think it would be kinda fun. well, i guess im crazy....

Re: What kind of car do you drive??

Anybody know anything about Garrett turbos?

I'm thinking around next year of getting a GT2871R (with the ATP Eliminator kit). http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...ory_Code=VVWTK

With an intercooler, software and exhaust people are easily hitting 13.5 quarter miles. Doesn't seem like that fast, but its AWD and full stock luxury interior.

Miatas and RX7's run in different classes. Both do well in their respective classes. The last generation of RX7's ran against late model Corvettes in the mid-90's, and often beat them. The Miatas are in a "slower" class.

Re: What kind of car do you drive??

last year i auto-X'd the mx-3, but this year i got the rx-7, currently being rebuilt with a bridgeport 13B TT

looking for about 400 hp or so.

the current engine runs but bairly, i suspect a dead apex seal or a bad carb. None the less its only a 12a (1.2L) with about 100hp, not nearly enough for the car.

Re: What kind of car do you drive??

people people the only vehicle worth talking about would be ford trucks or diesel trucks made by either ford or dodge the other companies suck especially japanese trucks. if i had a dodge ram 3500 cummins deisel i would smoke anyone out there. I've seen cummins in ford trucks with 900 horsepower. i'd like to see these little bemmers try to smoke that. Wait till ford start using CAT diesel engines in their trucks. those will be the best trucks out there. so far in this thread the olny trucks are rangers which are better than a car but still not the same as F-350's.

At the first bend in the road, they would.

And again at the gas pump.

And when parallel parking.

And of course, at the track.

Sorry, I just won't drive anything that requires a step ladder and hand holds to get into.
