Yeah, if you download the biggest one its going to take a while and its only a text file... its huge, like over 10 megs huge. Its only a text file!

when u put that into a word document it is 14534 pages long at size 12 font. that is a lot of typing.

man this is crazy, while i was transfering data from my 4 gig flash drive to my 1 gig flash drive, i noticed that when i was done the amount of freespace that i had left on my 4 gig flash drive was 3.14 not only my teams number, but it happened on Pi Day. could this be a sign maybe to play the lotto or a good sign meaning good things for Big MO at Midwest Regional or at West Michigan. What do you think?

Well it's 33554432 digits+1 space per 10 digits (~3355443 spaces)=36909875

1 byte per character
36909875/1024 bytes per KB/1024 KB per MB = 35.19 MB, which compresses to ~18 MB. (Apparantly text files compress well.)

If you have mathematica and a decent machine you'd be better off using that. Mathematica uses a very fast algorithm due to Chudnovsky. There are also programs available online that can calculate pi to a large number of digits very rapidly.
