For the past few years, Buzz Robotics has been giving little gifts to our Woodie Flowers Award nominee if they do not win the official one.
Usually, we frame our submission and have every team member sign it. We also create the strangest looking WFA "trophies" out of the things we find in our hotel rooms, and then present the items to our nominee.
All team members are present at the "award ceremony", and one student reads the essay to the nominee.
It's generally an amusing spectacle, and it is a lot of fun to see the look on your mentor's face when they see the "award" you created for them out of Wendy's cups, mardi gras beads, hotel soaps, and sample coffee packs. (and lots of tape!

)
So I was wondering...are there any other teams who do something special for their WFA nominee if he/she doesn't win? If so, what do you do?
