Re: What was your favorite song they played?

Domo Aregato Mr Roboto. I loved it when they played it for the finals at UTC several years back. For some reason, I have never heard it played since.

Alright, that was amusing the first time, it was even sort of amusing the second time. But during the awards ceremonies when they played it 7 times in a row? We wanted to cry. And then we said we were all going to learn it and sing it when it comes on at nationals. We will then watch the rest of the team try to figure out how on earth we know it. (only 3 of us went to watch Boston)

Would that be "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen? That's my new favorite song because of the timing at Chesapeake; we were walking off the field after our last match of Friday, it was our 8th win in an undefeated day..."Another One Bites the Dust" played, and I cracked up and started singing along.

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

Well, since I am on team 418, and our nickname is Purple Haze, my vote goes to Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix.

And, a funny story...
Last year during the finals I went down to the DJ and asked him to play Purple Haze. He did a search and didn't find it, so he asked me who it was by. A little suprised I said "Jimi Hendrix" so he did a search for "Jimmy." I gave up and went back to the stands, only to hear Purple Rain start.

Was it a guy's voice singing it, and did it go more like..

DUB DUB DUB DUH DUH DUB DUB DUB... and.. it repeated for sometime..

I'm thinking it was like.. Scooter? I know the voice sounds familiar..

If it's not the same song, does anyone know this song I mean as well?

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

my favorite was the GTR DJ played Positive Vibes from the Kottonmouth Kings.
for those that know them, wow
and for those that don't, they are a rock rap group that is very nonfirst spirit oriented, except like 2 or 3 songs off of their Rollin' Stoned album which Positive Vibes was on.

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

At the MWR this year, Team Striker, 101, used a Blues Bother's theme. They gave the CD to the DJ and every time they took the field he played another cut. The crowd went wild. The opening music to the original film...
"She caught the Katy
And left me a mule to ride
She caught the Katy
And left me a mule to ride
Now my baby caught the Katy
Left me a mule to ride
The train pulled out
I swung on behind
Crazy 'bout her
That hard headed woman of mine"

Wow, Kottonmouth Kings? at a F.I.R.S.T. event? Very surprised, though I guess Positive Vibes isn't too bad...

Yes, that's it!!! Thanks a lot!!! I love that browser effect too. It's kinda crazy!

Btw, if anyone is interested the name of the song is Maria by Scooter. And no, it's not the same Scooter who is on Team 237.

I like Animals by Nickelback... pretty much the most vulgar song played at a regional. ^_^ I was suprised to hear it at West Michigan.

I was very pleased that at GTR they played Rob Zombies Feel So Numb and the Mortal Kombat theme and that they cut down severly on the overplayed Cotten Eyed Joe.
