We would just have to drive back and forth along the ramp to block the shots. Ultimately, one would almost have to play total defense on these guys to win.
399 played absolutely terriffic defense during the regional. They were fantastic, by far the alliance we were most afraid of. After our matches I went over to them and immediately shook their hands. Great team.
Fact of the matter is though, that what they did to "shut us down" was using both bots on defense to attack only us. Leaving our two partners free to score at will.

If there is what is it. What is their Kryptonite. I think every team out there will want to know that one

Re: The Niagara Triplets the best team(s) in 2006?

The triplets are one of the most complete robots in FIRST this year. The only thing that could have made them better would have been a turret. Regardless, they are built robustly, encompassing all the capabilities including strong defense. Further more thier programming and ease of control is also commendable.

Will this enable them to win the nationals? god willing, I sure hope that finally a canadian team wins the nationals. . They might be great , but all it takes is two bad matches to be out of the running. Another thing to note here is that everyone will be focusing on "Bringing the Giant Down". No matter what happens they have established themsleves as a powerhouse team.

Thanks a lot for the notice Corey. I feel that those matches were indeed the best matches at the Las Vegas competition. Everyone was cheering and screaming like it was a finals match. Yeah the only way possible to stop you guys was to put two robots on you. You were a great alliance and we were just glad to have participated in the greatest match at Vegas. The problem was that our third alliance partner was not able to get up on the ramp at the end of the match. It may have been a closer match than originally thought. Anyhow, I really hope to be in the same division as you guys at nationals.

I first saw you guys at Annapolis this year and thought you were a tremendous team. The matches versus you guys throughout the competition were our toughest matches, and by far the best at Vegas. As i was telling some of your team members during crating saturday night, I would love to work with you guys, you seem like a top-notch team.

Well then I am sure our team will look forward to more interesting matches to come at the nationals. It will be an exciting event to say the least.

Re: The Niagara Triplets the best team(s) in 2006?

I just watched one of the finals matches and who was the team who almost knocked over one of the Triplets but backed away keeping them on their intended orientation? I want to congratulate them on their sportsmanship. Nothing sucks more than having your robot knocked over like that.

Comments on the robots:

Wow. Very nicely done. Many people have said that they can't be moved, but they clearly were pushed. The two teams worked so well together. When one depleted their balls and all of the opposing teams were watching that dry team. The other showed up and filled up the goal right behind every one.
