Wow, I nearly forgot about that. But I think 233 will make it in. They had a pretty awesome robot. I just don't know if they won any awards...

I think most teams that apply will make it in because most teams who are eligible won't apply.

I don't know about who'll be in it, but I am eagerly awaiting its release! I didn't have enough time at VCU to examine the other 'bots, and I was just starting to when we were picked for elims, so I had to drop what I was doing and fix the robot.

Despite our successes, the triplets only won a single technical award. Team 1114 took home the Innovation in Control award at GLR. At both Waterloo and Toronto the three teams were shut out. Thanks for the comment about our all around awesomeness, unfortunately not everyone saw it this way.

Team 1114 will be making a submission for the book, and we hope that we can be honoured with the other excellent designs of 2006.

Good job putting that together Joe. Yes, you have way too much free time. You need a puppy.

On thursday we put 694's submission together. We had a sweatshop of engineers writing the stuff . All the files are done and ready, pictures printed and labelled, padded envelope has address, authorization thing filled out, all that is to be done is cd making and stamping the envelope and we're good.
I spent 12.5 hours at another member's house putting it all together (I left to walk home through the streets of nyc at 1AM =X haha)
can't wait to find out if we make it, 2007 is a long way away!

30 award-winning robots from the 2006 FRC competition
that demonstrate engineering and design excellence.
Each of the robots featured will be documented over
several pages outlining the design and the design
processes used through information and process images
that the FRC teams supply. This book, the only one of its
kind, will offer technology enthusiasts, including FRC
members interested in learning how creative processes
are applied to develop sophisticated robots, with an intimate
understanding of what it took to design and build
these winning robots. The book will be published and
available through major bookstore chains such as
Amazon, Borders, and B&N, as well as around the globe
and possibly in multiple languages, in the fall of 2007.
