Volume/Weight Calculations in Inventor
This is a problem that has bothered me for some time.
Is there a tool in Inventor 10 that can be used to calculate the volume of a part? I know you can do this in Autodesk VIZ but what about Inventor? It would sure make calculating robot weights a lot easier... Any help/suggestions? Last edited by =Martin=Taylor= : 08-04-2006 at 00:23. |

Quote:
Go to File->iPropeties->Physical, and you can select the material you want to make the part out of, and it'll automatically use the volume and density of said material to give you the mass of the part. If Inventor doesn't have the material you want, you can manually input it's properties, and add it to the list. |

Re: Volume/Weight Calculations in Inventor
haha yea our teachers in ddp would always evaluate us based on whether our volume was the same as theirs.
