Rookie team needs help with shipping from CT
On a shoestring budget and a short time frame, we are beg, borrowing and stealing rides for our gear. Several teams are already helping us (thanks), but we have a few more things to send down. If anyone is driving down from the CT,western MA, NY area and wants to help and has room for a handtruck or toolbox, please let me know. I can bring whatever it is you can take to you before you leave. We appreciate the help we are getting and look forward to returning the favor when we are not the rookies.
As of today we need a ride for one of those red bins and a modified handtruck. 30" wide, (our cart). Thanks and good luck in ATL |

Re: Rookie team needs help with shipping from CT
I wish you had posted this about one week earlier.
That's when we shipped down our second crate of stuff, and could of probably squeezed some stuff in.. If all else fails, the contents of the storage bin (minus 12v batteries if you have those) can be (repacked in a suitcase &) loaded on a plane (non carry-on item) if you are flying down. The cart may be another story. I know teams from CT like BUZZ (175) typically drive down to ATL with their Space Truck full of team tools and stuff I think.. Try contacting someone from that team specifically. Good luck. edit: By the way, when and where are you flying out of if you are flying? |

I'll be heading down on Tuesday around noon from Waterbury, CT. We could probably fit a few more things in the suburban, we're a Vex team and the BOT is not that big (all the tools and spare parts get to be a good size). Let me know if we can be of assistance.

Re: Rookie team needs help with shipping from CT
Also talk to your FIRST Senior Mentor immediately and he/she can probably send a message out to all the teams in your state asking to help a team in need!

Re: Rookie team needs help with shipping from CT
Our local senior mentor is Mike Sperber. If you need to get in touch with him PM me for his FIRST e-mail address. I'm not sure if he monitors CD anymore.
We are sending a truck, however it's a short bed pick up at last check. That will basically hold our cart toolbox, batteries and luggage of the two brave souls driving. If there is anything special that you need please ask as we may be planning to bring something similar anyway or one of the other local teams. Pete |

Team 175 will be packing their truck at 9 AM this Saturday morning at Fermi High in Enfield, we are already taking stuff for some other teams (as we do every year). Definitely PM Dana Henry (Rosiebotboss) if you haven't already, or PM me and I will put you in touch with someone.
