Re: What are your Team Colors??

FRC 306 is the beautiful colors Orange and black.

That's the schools colors, so we generally go with it. However in past years the colors have been different. For example, steel face (the image in the avatar) can be either Silver or Black.

And the shirts have been Blue, Camouflage and a mix of Orange and black.

Re: What are your Team Colors??

Our team colors are the same as the school colors, Maroon (Cardinal Red) and Gold. We've also thrown Black into the mix because Black is so hot.

We are Yellow and Black, I am assuming that comes from the giant (Dad calls it tacky) yellow smile . What do 175, Buzz, and smiles have to do with each other? Absolutely nothing! (Unless no one explained it to me) But there are stories to all of them. Mostly people don't have trouble remembering our colors. (But no one ever wears the shirts to school.)
Correction Caroline...

The Buzz and the Buzz smile have a lot to do with eachother. One year way back in the 90's there was a suction cup on the robot to pick up large yoga-sized balls. An engineer felt as though something was missing, and made a smile and placed it inside the suction cup. Hence, the Buzz Smiley Face.

And I layered with one of my Buzz shirts today.

And if our robot determined our colors, we'd be SILVER and a little red and black. Our robot doesn't get decorated a lot, so it remains metal.
OOPS! It's red, WHITE, and black. We don't use yellow much at all, actually. I was thinking of school too much there!

I was aware of the story of how we got the smile! I just meant that the word Buzz (after Buzz Aldrin, yes?) was not related to the smile. We got the two separately, rather than having a name and a logo that are related. (Such as 33, the Killer Bees, there logo is a bee)

Clearly Buzz Aldrin.

Hamilton Sundstrand SPACE Land and Sea has sponsored us since the beginning of the program. And Buzz Aldrin is a note worthy astronaut.

Ditto here at FRC 1523... shirts are red, but when we have the option we usually go for a mix between orange and red to match our logo (below).

Our team colors are tie dye blue with red/ black lettering. The blue sure helps with finding lost team members!

Which is exactly what I said. So thanks for agreeing with me.

I just noticed that we were in the original message, shows how much I pay attention!
