roboteers in robot wars?
hey, i really don't watch televised robotics much, but is it the norm for the host of robot wars to call the participants "roboteers"? i was watching earlier tonight, and saw this. my response was "*dropped jaw* that's *our* name!"
i had to explain to my family why i was semi-surprised...Stephanie |

I don't know about you, but I don't really consider myself a "roboteer". I mean don't get me wrong the disney guy was nice, but he was just trying a little to hard to be "cool" and roboteer is really corny. I would compare it to let's kick robutt.
So this is one "roboteer" whose not to upset and i also think they might have said it before NATs in any case. |

I think I heard it used before Nats, too. If it makes someone happy, and it's not insulting or dosen't put across the wrong image of FIRST. Then I say *blah* who cares.
