Smile The first "FIRST" Xbox/Halo LAN Party

Any team members that are going to the 2006 Atlanta Championship, which are staying at the Holiday Inn, which is just about a mile or so from the event, is the place for the LAN party.

Friday night somewhere around 8-ish to 9-ish me and my friend are going to try and host a LAN network for Xbox's. We think that it will work since all that we will be doing is bouncing off the hotel's internet room service sever. Now some people say that it is going to charge the room for internet service. I am 90% sure that it will not because we are not using the internet. The port that the hotel server monitors is port 80 (http), which is internet. The Xbox does not even use port 80, so I see no reason that the hotel would activate the internet room service. *If your mentors are doing like our mentors, then they told the hotel to deactivate all services to the room, such as long distance calling, room service, and internet.* So, if the room does get charged for internet, then it is the hotel's fault, because they said that the service was deactivated.

Anyways, look for us on the system link on the xbox games. We will more than likely be playing Halo 2.

P.S. - Do not stay up all night playing games. Go to sleep and get some rest for the elimination on Saturday.
Also, the reason that we started this was to give a chance for people to relax and take their mind off of the championship for a little bit. I know it can be tough when you have a robot that is real good, yet you get stuck with bad alliances and are ranked close to the bottom.

A part from that, see ya there and good luck at the championship!!!
