Go to Post One last thing, if a mechanical part fails on you, sometimes you can get a little bit of noise back into it by yelling at it, kicking it, or pounding on it with your fist. This might put enough back into it so it will work for a few more minutes. - KenWittlief [more]

R2 Challenge Cup

Greeting Teams!

It is that time of year again. The FIRST season is over and the post season begins. As part of your team's post season plans, you should include the 5th Annual Tournament of Rosie Golf Scramble.

Yes, we do other things besides build robots. We are out to have a good time, get some fresh air, a little sunshine and build on the good relationships we have made with other teams during the year.

The R2 Challenge Cup goes to the low gross FIRST team for display in their trophy case for 1 year. They must bring it back to defend their title.

The Golf Tournamnet is Rosie's major fund raiser for the year. We raise enough to compete in a second regional and some post season events as well. Without this source of income, Rosie would be going home early next FIRST season.

The tournament will be June 10th ( right between Beantown Blitz and Battle Cry 7) at Agawam Municipal Golf Course in Agawam, MA. Costs are $85 pp includes green fees, cart, dinner and a chinese raffle is available to purchase tickets. An ad book is also being put together. See our website, www.team839.com for all the details and contact info.
