Impossible to truly to vex holonomic with default code?

Is it possible to do a vex holonomic and control it to its fullest capabilities with the default code?

Although I have no DIRECT experience in attempting to do this, I am almost totally sure that you cannot make a fully functional holomonic drive system with just the default code. You will probably have to program it in order to achieve any degree of control or to make it do what you want.

It's possible, but obnoxious to control. You'd have to set it up so that each of the motors involved was on a different channel on the controller (one on north/south of the left stick, one on east/west of the left stick, one on north/south of the right, and, if a 4th is used, one of the east/west of the right). You'd then have to push each stick appropriately to get it to move in the desired direction. So, if you can compute vectors in your head really quickly, I guess it's possible.

Re: Impossible to truly to vex holonomic with default code?

Let me just say, programming a holonomic vex bot is very simple, (and I didn't have any programming experience), plus the amount of things you can do with the bot are amazingly higher, so I would HIGHLY suggest buying a programming kit, even though you can build a holonomic vex bot without it.
