Opening picture threads in different forums

Brandon, I think that it would be a good idea to add an option to pick what forum the thread will be opened in. Currently, opening a thread about a picture automatically opens it in the "Extra Discussion" forum. Maybe it would be better if each picture thread would be opened in the related forum. For example: John's swerve vex robot picture, would be opened in the "Vex Challenge" forum, together with all the Vex related threads.

Any suggestions on a reliable/standard way to pick such forum?

Right now we have a few moderators moving them out of 'Extra Discussion' into the proper forum. If you see any that could be moved, report them to a moderator and tell where it should be.

The 'Report to Moderator' button doesn't always have to be to report something bad.

Instead of the moderators doing all the work, you could just have the users pick the forum from a list. I doubt there will be too many problems with wrong forums...

Perhaps an option for the forum choice to be moderator-approved should also be worked into the addition? If they were autoadded into forums, and people began to start posting everything in the wrong subforums, a moderator headache could be created very fast.

A while back you enabled all users who uploaded an item to CD-Media to have limited moderator abilities for their own threads, as long as they still resided in the "Extra Discussion" forum. I believe the only thing you can do is to move the thread to a new forum. Here's a screenshot I took as I moved one of my threads out of the Extra Discussion forum and into the Championship Event forum:
