WRRF and Northern California FIRST Robotics Teams!

We are having the first of our series of Cal Games planning meeting on July 8th (location TBD). As mentioned last Saturday, this is not a meeting where all teams attend to receive information about our event. This is a meeting for people who are interested to help with Cal Games and the planning effort.

When: July 8th 10:00am - 12:00noon
Where: To Be Determined
What: The following topics will be discussed in this meeting
- Event schedule, Side Event, Awards
- Fundraising, Publicity
- WRRF Website, E-mail list

Again, we can’t stress enough how much help we need to bring Cal Games back this fall. Those of you who are interested in joining the Cal Games Planning Committee, whether you are a student or an adult, come to this meeting and help us with the topics mentioned above.

Last Wednesday I sent out an e-mail about the planning meeting this Saturday, I mentioned the meeting will be held from 10:00am to 12:00noon. Turns out I got a little mixed up about the time of the meeting. So, this is a correction of the time of the meeting. Sorry for the inconvenience!

What: The following topics will be discussed in this meeting

- WRRF Website, E-mail list
When: The meeting is still happening this Saturday, July 8th, except it will be held from ***1:00pm - 3:00pm***

Where: Ken Krieger offered to let us hold the meeting at Google Headquarter. However, in order to have it there, Ken needs a headcount of how many people will actually show up so he can locate an appropriate room. So, if you are planning to attend this meeting, please reply to let me know you are coming, and how many people you are bringing with you.

As soon as we know how many people to expect, Ken will location a room, and I will send out the directions.

Hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July! I know I did! It's good to be away from school, work, and all the other stuff, even just for a little while...

So, this is a reminder of the planning meeting this Saturday, and direction to the meeting.

We will be having the meeting in the Cafe at Building 40. Please go to the Patio area in the center of the courtyard. You can park near the "enterance" to building 40 (the end of campus closest to Shoreline Blvd, next to the park). Merge onto US-101 SOUTH

Turn left into driveway at the "Google" sign at ALTA AVENUE

We are having the second of our series of Cal Games planning meeting on July 29th at the same location as the last meeting, Google Headquarter (see below for directions). As mentioned at the kickoff meeting, this is not a meeting where all teams attend to receive information about our event. This is a meeting for people who are interested to help with Cal Games and the planning effort.

When: July 29th 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Where: Google Headquarter
1600 Amphitheatre Parkway
Mountain View, CA 94043
What: The following topics will be discussed in this meeting
- Event setup and logistics: the overall plan, playing field, floor protection, pit area, truck rentals, signage, A/V, and concession.
- And a quick recap of several topics from the last meeting: registration, side events, and awards.

Just like the last meeting, we need a quick head count on how many of you plan to be there. We need it to arrange the proper room for our meeting at Google. So please reply to this e-mail if you are planning to show up! Last time when I did the head count, 15 people said they would show up. Turns out we had 25+ from more than 10 teams! So please rely if you plan to come to this meeting.

Again, we can’t stress enough how much help we need to bring Cal Games back this fall. Those of you who are interested in joining the Cal Games Planning Committee, whether you are a student or an adult, come to this meeting!
