Gear Boxes

We're currently looking for 2 gear boxes (do NOT need to be assembled but all the parts must be present) from the 2 previous years kits. If you could help us out it would be much appreciated.

Try out CD-Swap, link in the top nav bar, just above the 'new posts' link.

Re: Gear Boxes

http://www.ifirobotics.com/first-store.shtml If you want to order them. Second to last item on that page. The gearboxes have been the same the past two years so you would just need to order how ever many you need.

Not quiiiiiiiite the exact same. The motor mount plate was modified for the gear-tooth sensors in the 2006 kit. Trivial, and a benefit, but it was a change.

That said, I'd try and make contact with teams in your part of the world, particularly those that didn't use them on their robots. That's how I was able to get some for my research project.

Re: Gear Boxes

Good point Billfred, but I was talking more on the side of speed, gearing, and weight. Silly sparkies and there sensors...
