Music for FLL
Well there is a high likelyhood that I will be DJing for the FLL tournament my team holds every year, so before school starts and i become too busy what sorts of music would most people like to hear at competitions?
Any examples will do: Bands, Styles, Songs etc. Last edited by Cuog : 08-08-2006 at 13:08. |

Re: Music for FLL
Well, some good high-energy techno will do you a lot of good. (There's plenty of Creative Commons goodness out there.) Ditto for rock or hip-hop or rap. (I recall Fort Minor releasing a few tracks under CC, and there may well be others.)
Honestly, just about anything will work as long as the energy is there; just make sure the music is squeaky-clean. ![]() Last edited by Billfred : 07-08-2006 at 16:58. |

Re: Music for FLL
AC/DC Thunder Struck is a must, along with all the "active songs" like YMCA etc.

Re: Music for FLL
If your FLL tournaments are attended/hosted by FRC teams, be sure to play the "classics" - like the aforementioned YMCA, Cotton-Eyed Joe, Cha-Cha Slide, etc. That way your FRC members can teach the FLL members who don't already know the songs and dances. We've had a lot of fun adding the FRC-spirit to the FLL events this way.

Re: Music for FLL
Thanks everyone for their input, i have a bunch of techno already just been listening to all of it to weed out the stuff that may have parents trying to lynch me
I didnt even think to check whitepapers for this so thanks a bunch for that. I've been going and getting tons of Dance classics just because you have to play em I'm also gonna trip some people up by playing the original "who let the frog out" ![]() ![]() Last edited by Cuog : 07-08-2006 at 20:56. |

Re: Music for FLL
Just an added note: the whitepaper is for FRC competitions, so you'd be advised to cut out some of the songs not suited for the younger audience.

Billy Idol's "You Spin Me Right Round" is always a good, upbeat song. ;-)
