Rochester Institute of Technology
Northeastern University
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Manhattan College

Just a tid bit of advice for all you underclassmen out there, if you haven't yet, go to a few schools and request some info, don't go to the Ivy Leagues, look at some of the smaller schools, like many of those I've listed and many others have too.
Haha thanks Conor!

I'll applied and was accepted to Brown University's Program In Liberal Medical Education (8 year combined undergrad & medical program).

Have fun Neil! Any plans for when you get out in...2015?

Anyway here is my personal update
Applied to:
  1. University of Dayton
  2. Drexel University
  3. Catholic University of America
Major: Mechanical Engineering
(hopeful Minor: Accounting)

I was accepted at University of Dayton a week ago or so, it's my top choice. But I'm curious to see what the other schools say.

To anyone applying for Embry-Riddle Daytona, you might want to look at the message on their Home Page.

There is substantial damage to several buildings on campus including the administration building, Spruance Hall, and the Student Center. The maintenance hangar was destroyed and there was damage to a high percentage of the fleet of planes.

The recovery is already underway and every effort is being made to have everything operational when classes resume in January - including using rental planes for the flight line.

In the meantime, people are asked not to visit the campus until it is declared safe by the authorities. At that time, there will be an advisory noting that the campus is again open.

While listening to the news today, I heard it was something like 25 planes that were destroyed with many other damaged.

Best of luck to all applying, my applications are going out after the first of the year (I'm probably going to apply to Embry, just becuase they send me endless amounts of information)

Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

This process can be a stressful one, but if you dont rush to finish everything at once, you should be fine. I would suggest that you consider looking for non binding early action programs at the schools that you really become interested in. If you get into a school you want early, that can save you the headache of applying to many more schools to try and guarantee an acceptance. I applied early to both WPI and RPI, and got into both before Christmas. I had my aid package back from WPI before the deadline for my financial safety school (UNH), so I didn't even have to apply. It was short and simple, and saved me the nightmare of filling out many long applications. As my sig indicates...I chose RPI.

As a student at Rensselaer (RPI), I feel that I should put in a good word for the Institute, since it seems to be notably absent from many application lists on this thread. Rensselaer is a top notch engineering school (we just made the "New Ivy" list), and we do have a FIRST program here, for all those who wish to continue on in FIRST through mentoring. I highly encourage you to consider Rensselaer in your search for colleges. If anyone has any questions about RPI, I'd be glad to answer them to the best of my ability (I have just started as a freshman, so I am still learning a lot about the Institute).

Best of luck to the class of 2007!

Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

I'm glad to hear from someone who suggests RPI. They're currently my top choice. The list is (in some sort of selection order):

RPI (early app)
RIT (possible advantage of tuition exchange through my dad's job at Roberts Wesleyan)
Washington U. - St. Louis
LeTourneau University (another possibly free school)
Roberts Wesleyan College (this one's guaranteed free, but I'm only applying because of the parental mandate)

Major: Computer Science - Engineering

Unfortunately, the fact that I could get free tuition at 3 of those on the list hurts my chances of convincing my parents about RPI or Washington. I'm taking a couple courses at Roberts this year and over the summer to get some of the humanities stuff out of the way to try to get a full year out of the way before actually starting my first year, especially if I'll be paying for it.

Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

Hmm.. since I can't edit my old post, here's my list, in preferential order:

Clarkson University (I am going to be afraid of what this FIRST team will do in two years...)
Washington University - St. Louis (brother is a law professor there)
Purdue University - West Lafayette
George Washington University (brother and sister are alumni)
University of Illinois - Urbana-Champagne
University of Rochester (President is my brother's former dean and a good friend of his)
UCF (backup)

Re: Class of '07, Where Are You Applying?

I just started filling out my RIT Application, included is a section for "Electronic Addresses" including "E-mail Address" and "AOL IM Screen Name".

I'm glad I've currently updated my Screen Name to be more professional (from Gangstersrscary to my name...).
