Re: NFL Pickem Week 3

Here's my $0.02

Vick is a great athlete. I doubt there is anyone who can argue that he isn't.
I agree that he is closer to a RB than a QB. a QB is most often a passer first and a runner second. What makes me think Vick is not a good QB is the fact that he can't learn/run a Pro-style offense. He doesn't/can't fit in the WCO. The Falcons have had to draw up some college-level plays for him to run. Now, to Vick's defense, his WR's are young and have underperformed. TE Alge Crumpler is probably his best pass receiver.
Either way, no matter what I think, the Falcons seem to find ways to win their fair share of games. And in the end, winning is all that matters in Pro sports.

Re: NFL Pickem Week 3

Sunday
Carolina at Tampa Bay Steve Smith goes for 150 yards and 2 TDs.
Chicago at Minnesota Florida Boy is for real.
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh New Thugs vs. Old Thugs
Green Bay at Detroit Fourth consecutive road pick?
Jacksonville at Indianapolis Home team wins a close one.
N.Y. Jets at Buffalo A healthy Pennington is the future.
Tennessee at Miami Miami wins Turnoverfest.
Washington at Houston Redskins finally get some confidence.
Baltimore at Cleveland No-brainer.
N.Y. Giants at Seattle NYG is overrated, but Seattle is even moreso.
Philadelphia at San Francisco Alex will look like a 2nd-year QB.
St. Louis at Arizona I'll pick the team with the less crappy O-line.
Denver at New England Pats at home.

Monday
Atlanta at New Orleans Can't go against my man Drew. Boiler Up!

Re: NFL Pickem Week 3

Sunday
Carolina at Tampa Bay - Carolina, The panther defense is going to eat chris simms alive
Chicago at Minnesota - I think this is going to be a tough one but I have Minnesota
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh - Cincinnati is just too good
Green Bay at Detroit - I nearly forgot the Lions were a profssional team
Jacksonville at Indianapolis - This pick seems like suicide. This game is going to be tough. It is Peyton Manning, but then again the Jags jsut beat the SB champs
N.Y. Jets at Buffalo - Jets. Pennington>Lossman
Tennessee at Miami - Cullpepper isn't that bad
Washington at Houston - Redskins QB is going to fall apart
Baltimore at Cleveland - lol
N.Y. Giants at Seattle - Eli is riding a wave of momentum
Philadelphia at San Francisco - The Eagles are hurting form last weeks heart breaker
St. Louis at Arizona - Why not
Denver at New England - We can always hope can't we

Monday
Atlanta at New Orleans - I think that teh Saints are going to fight a tough fight, but John Abraham I believe is back and Atlanta's D is just too good. The Falcons finally have a complete team. We signed a kicker...

Re: NFL Pickem Week 3

Sunday
Carolina at Tampa Bay-Tampa Has been so bad on offense it is like watching the Lions
Chicago at Minnesota-The Chicago D is just so good they, can stop Minnesota
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh-Big Ben isn't fully healed and Cincinnati is pretty good on offense. If Polamalu isn't back to 100% the defending champs will be hurting
Green Bay at Detroit-They can't be as bad as the Packers, they just can't be.
Jacksonville at Indianapolis-I really hate picking Indy, but they are tough to beat.
N.Y. Jets at Buffalo-The Bills have no QB and they can't beat NY
Tennessee at Miami-Tennessee isn't very good and Miami is ok.
Washington at Houston-Clinton Portis is going to give Washington something and will help them kill the worst team in football.
Baltimore at Cleveland-Get your tickets for the bandwagon now.
N.Y. Giants at Seattle-I really think Shaun Alexander will spend a lot of time getting up from the hits that the Giants are going to lay on him.
Philadelphia at San Francisco-This is a no brainer
St. Louis at Arizona-I really don't think Arizona is that good
Denver at New England-Denver isn't as good as the Pats and i think New England will win it

Monday
Atlanta at New Orleans-This one is all on gut, but that place will be so loud and rocking that Atlanta will be struggling to win.

FYI, since I missed Week 1, and coin flips aren't influenced by already knowing the results of games, I went back and did the coin flips for that week, and hit on 10 games. I've asked Ed to update my total to 29 for all three weeks combined. I'd like to keep a direct comparision between my results and those of the people who have participated every week.
