Most Memorable Cheat Code

I am one of those people who uses cheat codes on every game they own. I tend get really annoyed by the games that I like that do not have cheat codes ( cough PC version of Star Wars Battle Front II cough ).

So for the rest of you cheaters out there, what is your most memorable cheat code? Please include what the code does, what game it's from, and what platform.

Maybe I will eventually make a poll out of the most posted codes, but until then...

I could create a huge list of codes here but my most memorable is probably:

iddqd-invincibility-DOOM 2-PC

I'm old school so the infamous Konami code:
up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start

Worked on every Konami game from the late 80s.

Ahh...that brings me back to the day. If I remember right, it worked for Super Mario Brothers to give you 99 lives too (may have been select, start at the end).

We should have closed the thread at this one. I would contend for every kid growing up in the 80's this and the mortal combat finishing moves made you THE COOLEST

(Yes I know many of you were born well after this, but you havent played video games until you have to blow the dust out of a cartridge or toss down your "power pad" to play your 8-bit color games!)

I honestly though that this was what the thread was going to be about, I am fairly certain without this code it is impossible to beat Contra for NES

It's the same way with the original PC Rayman game. If it weren't for the 99 lives code (trj8p) I never would have beaten it. It was still pretty hard, trying to get all the cages so you could unlock the last level (no cheat code for that ), but I eventually did .

On a (slightly) related note: Rayman is awesome (hence the name) and...

I CAN'T WAIT FOR RAYMAN RAVING RABBIDS ON PC!

Re: Most Memorable Cheat Code

I guess this isn't exactly a cheat code, but it's the first thing I thought of.

On the first stage of Super Mario 3 for NES, if you hold down on the white platform near the end of the level, you will fall behind the background and can run through the rest of the level to get a warp whistle.

Good times.

Re: Most Memorable Cheat Code

I don't know if these are exactly cheat codes, but some of the ones for the Sims I find easy to memorize.

More money: klapaucious and rosebud

And, of course, the most memorable one that takes off the censors: move_objects on

For Sims 2 the code for more money: motherlode

I remember when you had to hold down the enter key to keep getting money in the original Sims. I would put a paperweight on my keyboard and leave it there for hours. Good times...

I used that code for everything! I never ran out of TMs. I also caught a few lvl 100 pokemon with that glitch.
I don't really go out of my way to find cheats because I like beating the game the old fashioned way, but there are some cool ones out there.
