Spring pulling before match or while in match??
Hi, Bomber from team #2230.
We'd like to know, if we have a spring system in the robot, when are we supposed to pull it back? In the match or before the match? |

Re: Spring pulling before match or while in match??
You can "store" the energy in your spring before the start of the match. Just be careful that the holding mechanism is VERY secure or you will not pass the safety inspection.

Re: Spring pulling before match or while in match??
Well it largely depends on your system. If you need the spring in a pulled postion to start just be careful because stored energy devices, like spring, can be dangerous when pulled. If you need it contracted to start the match you neednt worry as much. To answer your question there is no mandatory postions springs need to be in to start a match.

Bomber,
Stored energy devices do attract the eye of inspectors. Make sure your springs are safely incorporated into your design. |
