How many total scored?

New poll;

What do you think will be the average for the number of total Keepers and Ringers scored per match? The total would be for both alliances.

Re: How many total scored?

Heres how I see the breakdown of team scoring.
An elite team will be able to get 7+.
Great-6
Good-5
Average-3-4

With that statistic...I can see some elims with full racks, but others, with 15.
I'd say onaverage, 14-18 total.

Keepers. I see one at most per match. An occasional 2, and a VERY rare 3.

Re: How many total scored?

I think that there will be alot more ringers and keepers scored than the previous poster. I see 20-30 as being an extremely realistic goal for all teams in a match, seeing as how that would require each bot to place merely 4-5. This of course does not include spoilers, but as every team has 2 min. of teleoperated mode (120 seconds for those non-mathematically inclined), each team could place 4 if they only place one every 30 seconds.

Re: How many total scored?

I feel that the statistics will play out to be very similar to 2005's Triple Play. Most robots should be able to put up 3-4 in a match, with the better/best teams putting up 6 or more a match. I'm not sure about autonomous, but I would tend to agree with Corey, 1 per alliance should be typical. 2 not so much, and 3 a rarity.

Now, what type of average scores will these statistics lead to? And how do those points compare to one or two robots off the ground at the end of the match? I'll leave that math up to each team.

Re: How many total scored?

I think that in this years game, there will be a lot less scoring than Triple Play. The ringers are much harder to obtain if you want to pick them up off on the other side of the field, (or even human load, which takes time) and if you think about it, with 6 robots around 1 game object as opposed to having 9 scoring goals in 2005, it will be a lot more difficult to even score 1 ringer.

So to answer Ben's inquiry, the lifting robots at the end of the match will be crucial-especially in qualification matches.

Re: How many total scored?

I certainly see lifting being a quali-winner, while that aspect will may be ignored in favor of stopping/making a super row in finals. I was thinking about calling the Ringers "Tetras with infinite sides" but deemed it cumbersome for conversation.
