Team 1111 "Heavy Mettle" Conceptual Design
Well, it took a solid week of thought, pondering, and just plain yelling at each other, but we have our design for our robot, "Heavy Mettle."
1) Size (preferred) a. 4' b. longer than wide (38" x 28" wide) 2) Drive a. Kit chassis 3) Ramps a. 2 ramps b. One on left and right sides of robot c. 4" levitation d. Robots drive parallel to us, to into us e. 20 degree incline 4) Mechanisms for scoring a. Piston arm 1. Pivoting arm from base 2. Telescoping arm 3. Bottom claw for grabbing tubes Comments? Oh, and by the way, for the record, we decided on the name "Heavy Mettle" before we heard the name "Rack 'n Roll" |
