Totally confused

Our team desperately needs help with the pneumatics systems - mainly on how to generate a vacuum. This is a (somewhat tumultous) rookie year for us, and it appears that both the students and the mentors are at a total loss for how to properly apply the pneumatics, and what the various valves, and brass pieces do. We really need a crash course on this subject. Any linking to introductory material would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Justin Brooks

Re: Totally confused

A good place to start would be to download and read the FIRST Guidelines, Tips, and Good Practices and the FIRST 2007 Pneumatics Manual. The correct use of pretty much all of the KOP pneumatics parts are covered, including the vacuum generator.

Re: Totally confused

Hey this may not have been mentioned to you or you might not have noticed it yet, however this years kit came with a vacuum kit in the first kit. If you want to make your own just study the supplied kit and make your own to your own specs. Hope this helps.
