MPLAB Question

I know there are quite a bit of threads about this, but I couldn't find the problem i have. I get a build error right off the bat on my first open and build. I remember needing the go into build options and adding the C:\mcc18\lib and h directories. The problem with this, is that it still doesn't help. I then looked for the mcc18 directory and cannot find it in the C:\ directory. Could this be the problem? Or any other solutions?

Re: MPLAB Question

Uninstall MPLAB and C18 and then reinstall. Install MPLAB first and then C18. Pay attention to the default locations for the installation. Default for C18 should be C:\mcc18

If you dont have a c:\mcc18 folder than yes, that is an issue. Have you installed C18 compiler?

Re: MPLAB Question

I know you simply say to uninstall the compiler and reinstall the compiler, but I have the compiler installed on my school's computer. It took about a month just to get it installed and it would take up the rest of the wait until competition to get that done. My only question is whether I can download the file and just simply put it in the dir. This wouldn't normally be possible, but it is already linked to in the windows registry. So I should be able to cut and paste it. Now where can I get that . . .

Re: MPLAB Question

If it was installed for you by the school, then perhaps they put mcc18 somewhere other than the default location which would be alright as long as you tell MPLAB where it is.

Try searching the computer for mcc18.
