I thought to social was great. Great location, lots of cool stuff to play with. However, if you want me back as an inspector, you better make sure those brownies will be there. (thems were good).

Re: 2007 Los Angeles Regional

Many people on my team had a lot of fun. And I must admit the Star Wars exhibit was pretty cool. I think I was just too tired to enjoy it after two days of driving.

Re: 2007 Los Angeles Regional

The media group of our team got most matches of all three days (16 90 minute tapes is what they tell me). They have all of our (team 585's) matches on a dvd so far, and I have requested that they get all the matches to me by at least the end of the week. They will either be distributed through team 585's website or youtube (depending on how much bandwidth we've got left).

The entire regional was so much fun. It was the first regional that the team attended in 2001, and we were glad to be back. The whole team got the chance to meet one of the very first team members (and driver) from the 2001 season. We also had the chance to really help a lot of teams with their robots (especially the signal lights and power distribution blocks) since our pit had a lot of rookie teams near by.

The team social wasn't too much of a social, but that was made up for by going to the Star Wars exhibit. We had fun making small talk with 399 in the big exhibit upstairs and 1717 at the Millenium Falcon show.

Altogether, it was quite a fun experience. I'm still trying to get my voice back as well as get ready for the San Diego Regional next week.

Re: 2007 Los Angeles Regional

What did everyone think of the Regional Video played right before the Finals??

Is that something new this year for all regionals? or are we just special?

Re: 2007 Los Angeles Regional

Thanx for posting those videos. All are good except for the middle video when a popped intertube got stuck in our wheel . It was a lot of fun being the alliance, it was a good way to wrap up my last year.

ps-Is there any way i can get the picture we took of our alliance after the competition?
