Who in the heck manufactured the lead screw for the KOP?

I need a 18in Lead screw for our bot... We bought some threaded rod from McMasterCarr but it didn't really work very well for us, we need something that moves fairly easily like the one included in the KOP. Any ideas? The equivalent from small parts seems really expensive. Are they always 100 bucks?

Thank you so much!!!

Re: Who in the heck manufactured the lead screw for the KOP?

It's a standard lead screw. If you're looking on mcmaster.com it's a precision modified-acme threaded rod. The precision and modified bits means it's more expensive, though the nuts are cheaper than nuts for the standard threaded rod.
