Amperage measure
Is there a way in software to measure the amperage going to the motors. Is it built into the PWM? Is there a way to display it on the OI? I need some help here!

Re: Amperage measure
It is not possible to do in software as far as i know, but you could make a custom circuit that would measure the amperage and send it to the OI through the RC. I think my team did this once.

Re: Amperage measure
Search Digi-Key for "Current sensor" and remember that although our breakers (not including the main breaker) max at 40A significantly more than that can be drawn by certain motors for short periods of time.

Re: Amperage measure
You have to measure the current with a sensor. The best one I have seen is made by Allegro Microsystems and are readily available through Newark Electronics.
See this link: http://www.allegromicro.com/hall/currentsensor.asp Good luck PS These things are cheap, about $ 6 each! |
