i guess this is why its a teaser, but it looks as if the ramp isn't touching the ground in the beginning. If I'm correct, that looks a bit steep, but it sure is fast.

That is what it appears to me. Hmmm very ingenious. I wonder how the robot will get on that platform and how all of that will fit within the maximum dimensions.

It appears that the rear bar on the lift is pneumatic (or perhaps a gas spring), and it extends raising the platform. The "robot moving backwards" was just their cart, which was also pushed by the force, but that movement was unrelated to the platform raising.
