Pneumatic Solenoid legality

Is it legal to attach two one way pneumatic cylinders to one of the SMC double solenoids provided in the kit?

Re: Pneumatic Solenoid legality

perhaps I left that a little unclear what I meant was a pneumatic cylinder that we would only use in one direction

As long as the cylinder is one of the ones on the list, it doesn't matter if you move it both ways or not.

There are cylinders available with a built in spring return. These are NOT legal, but some times teams use them by mistake. I caught one at the Championship last year. The team had to find a new cylinder and redo their tubing a little but it wasn't that hard to fix. The hard part was finding a supplier as this was discovered late afternoon on Thursday.

Moral of the story, be sure you look closely at the list of cylinders in the manual and do not order anything not on the list and GET INSPECTED EARLY!
