Question default button maps anyone?

I have been searching the forum like crazy, but no luck...

According the the User Manual that came with the USB Chicklet, there are certain buttons, namely buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4 that will be matched to the port trig, top, aux1, and aux2 buttons.

I am using an xbox 360 controller and will be using mode 2, for four analog supports, but I am trying to figure out, which buttons are assigned to buttons 1,2,3,4 by default when you first plug the controller into the chicklet.

The User Manual seems to hint that these buttons would be A,B,X, and Y respectively, but can someone tell me definitively?

Hint to what I'm trying to get at...
Is this true?
XBox - Chicklet (Mode 2) - OI Buttons
"A" ... Button 1 .......... pX_sw_trig
"B" ... Button 2 .......... pX_sw_top
"X" ... Button 3 .......... pX_sw_aux1
"Y" ... Button 4 .......... pX_sw_aux2

XBox - Chicklet (Mode 2) - OI Buttons
"A" ... Button 1 .......... pX_sw_trig
"B" ... Button 2 .......... pX_sw_top
"X" ... Button 3 .......... pX_sw_aux1
"Y" ... Button 4 .......... pX_sw_aux2

The default mode for the Chicklet is mode 1. This mode is the only mode where the buttons are set to a default value for you. If you want to use mode 2 then you must calibrate the chicklet to mode 2. During calibration the user can select which buttons are assigned where. The first four buttons pressed will be assigned to in the order pressed as follows:

pX_sw_trig
pX_sw_top
pX_sw_aux1
pX_sw_aux2

You cannot simply select the mode and then end calibration mode. You must complete the calibration procedure in its entirety.

Re: Problems involved in sentences

There's an easy way to figure out button numbers and axes on the 360 controller. Plug it in to a computer and go to the test screen that lets you make sure it's correctly calibrated for usage, and click each button to be sure (and don't forget the thumbstick and D-pad buttons)
The triggers are treated as a separate axis, fyi.
