HITEC Servos

Are other HITEC Servos allowed, specifically the HSR-5995TG or HS-5985MG. Or are teams only allowed to use the one that comes in the kit (HS-322HD)?

The rules state that:

<R46> specifically PROHIBITED… Electric motors different from, or in addition to, those in the Kit, with the exception of those specifically permitted by Rule <R45>…

<R45> specifically permitted… Additional HITEC HS-322HD Servos…

So are servos considered motors and “specifically PROHIBITED” by rule 46 or are they considered servos and different ones are not prohibited, but also not necessarily permitted.

As specified in the Q&A, located here:

As defined in Rule <R45> and <R46>, only HS-322HD servos may be used on the ROBOT.

So, you can only use HS-322HD servos, but you can use additional HS-322HD servos from those in the kit.
