Is it me or is there a bug with my 3dsmax?

Awww... I made a model of my tree... textured it... rigged... now that i'm going to put it in the scenario... It works well....

BUT when i close the file and open it again... BAM! The model is totally messed up! Look the image i posted below:

http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/2925/treeto9.jpg

And i tried it three times... It always happens... I tried to merge the scenario into the tree model, and vice-versa... I don't know what is happening...If someone can help me i will be very grateful =)

You might try getting in contact with Autodesk about this. I know nothing about 3ds so I really can't help. Sorry.

Re: Is it me or is there a bug with my 3dsmax?

Have you tried rendering it? if so is it still messed up? also what do the brackets look like when you select your tree? do the brackets extend out to the messed up pieces or just around the base of the tree? Also try selecting your tree and export it.

Re: Is it me or is there a bug with my 3dsmax?

Yes, I have rendered it, and its still messed up... And even if it wasn't, how would I animate the tree that way?

I tried grouping its parts, and also with they ungrouped. When I import it into the scene, it remains good until i save-close it, and when i open it again, its messed up again...

Re: Is it me or is there a bug with my 3dsmax?

ooohh... this happend to me once. I think I solved it by rebiulding the scene around the file with just the tree.

Also the problem might come from your units scale is off on the other file. Make sure they match cause that can screw things up. Also try exporting single pieces of the tree as .3ds or some other form of 3D modeling file. Then importing them in the other file. You might have a few errors that way but just reposistion the camera so they are out of view.

But sometimes these things happen and there is nothing you can do. It sucks because you have to redo everything.

Well, look the title bar =P

And i'm not calling you stupid hehe ^^

P.S.: It was the units setup anyways. Problem solved =) I'm very grateful, Buddy and everyone that tried to help me.

But it's still a bug. I hope they solve it soon...
