How do you get servo numbers into Angle Degrees

I was woundering on how do you get the tilt angle that the servo is at into degrees for an angle. Any programing help would be nice or give me a way to figure that out.

Re: How do you get servo numbers into Angle Degrees

Hi and welcome to Chief Delphi! Glad to see another fellow Minnesotan around.

Here at CD there is a forum specifically dedicated to the CMUCam which can be found here.

After browsing through it, it appears this thread is very similar to what you are asking.

We also have a search function here that can be very helpful. It helps you find answers faster and helps all the excellent helpful people here have less threads to wade through.

If none of that answered your question, feel free to post again in this thread and let us know what is still giving you trouble.

Re: How do you get servo numbers into Angle Degrees

For if you have not figured it out yet.

The camera tracking menu which has a submenu for driving the pan/tilt servos interactively. Use a proctractor to measure the values.

Get the pwm values for zero pan / zero tilt since this is probably different from the default values stored in tracking.h and stored in the camera eeprom. We then moved one servo at a time 100 pwm steps off center either way and measured the angles.
