Backup battery failure
We're out with in the middle of nowhere with our robot right now because our adviser kicked us out and while we were testing our camera, suddenly our backup battery will not work. We've tried everything and none of the batteries will give a charge to the controller but they seem to charge okay. What can we do?

Re: Backup battery failure
There is always the possibility that the wiring from the backup to the RC has failed. Without tools to check the battery voltage it is hard to say at this point where the failure actually lies. It is also possible that you have a short in the camera or that wiring which has pulled the 7.2 volt power down inside the RC. I believe there is an auto resetting breaker inside the RC for this line but it does not act the same as the other breakers. It may require the power to the RC be shut off for a few minutes before you start again.
