Nice design
It looks like your gripper might be a bit to strong with those sick looking tubes in the background and the one in the gripper about to go flat.

Actually, she starts at 5 feet. We had originally wanted to go with 4, but to reach all spider legs we had to go to five.

I think the claw itself has only ripped one, when were testing to see if it could rip them at all. The ones in the background were victims of human player "practice" and...sumo wrestling. The only way it rips the tubes without the drivers doing something dumb is if it gets caught in the back of the claw and gets pinched; we're planning a strategic piece of rubber to prevent that.

That picture doesn't do your 'bot justice. I really liked your ramp design. It was very effective and easy to get up. Fantastic design!!
