I assume you are using bumbers, otherwise your robot cannot compete under the "no wedge" rule.

The bottommost portion of the wedge looks to be atleast 4-5 inches high. They probably won't consider it a wedge.

And even if the refs do, they can just bolt some vertical plates onto that extrusion.

This is a really cool design, i have seen this on electric wheelchairs because it provides great maneuverability in tight spaces. plus those big tires look awesome!

4-5" is not high enough. The external face of the robot must be no more than 10* off vertical from the floor to 8.5" above the floor, per rule R05

It doesn't violate the wedge rules.
Quote:
<R05> "Wedge” ROBOTS are not allowed. ROBOTS must be designed so that interaction with opposing ROBOTS results in pushing rather than tipping or lifting. Neither offensive nor defensive wedges are allowed. All parts of a ROBOT between 0 and 8.5 inches from the ground (the top of the BUMPER ZONE) that are used to push against or interact with an opposing ROBOT must be within 10 degrees of vertical. Devices deployed outside the ROBOT footprint should be designed to avoid wedging. If a mechanism or an appendage (e.g. a harvester for retrieving GAME PIECES)becomes a wedge that interferes with other ROBOTS, penalties, disabling, or disqualification can occur depending on the severity of the infraction.
Becuase they have the flattened section that would contact other robots before the wedged section (therefor preventing the wedge from contacting other robots), there is no rule violation.
