pic: Team 1178 Robot - Ramp and Deck open
Ramp deploys within a second or two, is very sturdy, and can support a lot of weight. There is a flat piece of diamond plate that sticks straight up during normal play, but can be pushed flat by another robot, driving up. It is supported underneath by triangular brackets, and makes the final deck size about 3' x 4', at 13" off the ground. We can also get another robot 4" off the ground, if it doesn't roll back down the ramp, when the robot is disabled.
Also, note the large majority of this robot was built and designed by the students, although the mentors play a very active roll. ![]() Last edited by Jake M : 01-03-2007 at 19:43. |
