Regional Webhugs?

As you know, over the course of the year, many of us befriend new people through these ChiefDelphi.com FIRST community forums. After a practice day searching for some greats from CD at the Lone Star Regional, I thought 'Wouldn't it be nice if there was a time and place?" I am wondering if anybody is interested in helping out with regional web hugs or if you would attend a regional web hug.

Pavan.

Re: Regional Webhugs?

I like the idea. It gives the opprotunity to bring the CD web hug to those teams who can't/don't make it to Atlanta.

Re: Regional Webhugs?

Sounds like a cool idea. Someone from CD,for each regional, should be designated as a coordinator to run the web hug.

Re: Regional Webhugs?

I thought of that at San Diego. I always like to meet CDers I haven't met yet, but I can't find them at events. Maybe one per event (including offseasons) at a designated location at said event would be enough--then if you miss it, find someone who you know that was there to introduce you to others.

Re: Regional Webhugs?

I like the idea! Which reminds me, if you see someone you know from CD or otherwise, when saying hi, please say something like, "Hi, I'm KathieK from Chief Delphi, I read your posts all the time!" or "Hi, I'm KathieK from NEMO, we met in Atlanta last year!" I'm old (and getting older by the minute) and meet an awful lot of people in the course of a year and I'm terrible with names. I might or might not remember you, but if you introduce yourself to me when saying hi it would really help!

Re: Regional Webhugs?

I think thats a great idea. I probably couldn't organize much, but I would defiantly go to one.
