Crazy video thingy

This may be old news to some people, but its pretty cool to me.
At a Canadian regional, I believe, they had a 360 degree camera that lets you pan the camera around while you stream the video. Its in a flash format so make sure thats up to date, but besides that its really straight forward.

That is perhaps the coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. If the playback quality was a little bit higher and the player itself let you drag easier, it might be a bit cooler, but oh man that is so awesome.

Yeah, this is from the Greater Toronto Regional. They had two of these cameras - one under the rack and one being carried around. It's basically a black ball on a stick with a number of lenses pointing in all directions.

An interesting tidbit: the guy who was carrying one of these cameras around told me that Segways are the ideal platform for carrying them as you don't get any of the bouncing associated with walking. I offered to let him use mine, but he turned me down.
