Simulation Toolkit Demo at Championships in Atlanta 2007

Teams,

If you have received the NI-DAQ USB 6009 device, or are even the slightest bit curious in simulating a robot with the LabVIEW Simulation/Modeling Toolkit while testing code on your IFI RC, PLEASE check out the demo going on at the National Instruments Vendor Showcase booth.

They're going to be having a demo there showing off a very simple Hardware-in-the-loop demonstration using the Innovation FIRST control system. LabVIEW will be used to model the NI robot for solving the Rack-And-Roll challenge, will use the 3D Picture Control in LabVIEW to visualize the robot actions, will be running code on the IFI Robot Controller, and will be controlling sensor inputs on the IFI Robot Controller using the NI-DAQ USB 6009 device all at the same time. Here's a sample image of the output screen attached - imagine having THIS as a Dashboard!!!!!

I hope to see you all in Atlanta!
-Danny

Do you have a vi file posted that can interface to the FRC controller ?

Are other LASA people coming as well ? You should stop by the AusTIN CANS both and say Hello !

Hah, if it were only that simple. We do have a couple VIs that can read the Dashboard information off the FRC Controller into LabVIEW so you can run your own custom Dashboard, that's what 418 used in our Dashboard that you saw during our mini meet.

Unfortunately no, it's only going to be me and Jane from 418 (both mentors). Jane says she's working the registration, and I'm a referee for FLL. However, I will still come by and say "Hi" nonetheless when I make my rounds, I want to buy a copy of the FIRST book (Behind the Design) and get teams to sign it that are featured in the book. Had I known Amazon would be delivering the book yesterday I would have bought one there, but alas. I guess Jane and I will be the only representatives from 418 who could sign it for those interested in the same thing...
