Currently checked into the Marquis, 38th floor, can't see the streets below - dreary day in Atlanta.

Can't make it

after being packed and ready to go... I managed to come down with food poisoning and just canceled my flight this morning.

This is my first one i've missed since 2004

Hope everyone has a good time, I'll be rooting here while watching webcasts. Give everyone an extra hug for me at noon tomorrow!

In fact, my toe is still numb because of the novocaine. We just got back to the hotel and my toes are cold! LOL
Be careful though with what shoes you wear in the pits, close toed but don't wear shoes that are too tight!

I hope that those teams stuck up north are able to get down in time, though. It is very odd that it is snowing still this time of the year. IT'S APRIL! It is so weird! I just hope that everyone gets here safely, though because any problems like would not be cool!

I can't wait to see everyone tomorrow, though!

Re: So... Who's packed and ready to go?

It it a little intense that I arrived tuesday night, but the rest of my team doesn't get here until about 9 tonight? I have a reason though... came early to see Georgia Tech. That decision deadline is coming up!

I'm already set up with:
Dell 9300 Laptop
300 GB External HDD
30 GB iPod
Canon Digital Rebel XT
3 GB of Compact Flash Cards
8 packs of mini-DV tapes
Chargers!
Clothes (Not the most important stuff on my list...)

If it's not apparent, I'm the media dude. Unfortunately I used up my carry-ons, so our team's Canon GL-2 (my baby) is arriving with my team nonight. They're probably all getting through security right now... fun!

Re: So... Who's packed and ready to go?

I'm not packed anymore! =D

I'm unpacked in room 2312 of the Marriott Marquis.

Delphi Elite guys are on 38th, eh? I know that 694 is on the 32nd floor, so maybe I'll have to round up all the roboticists Friday night so we can socialize on the 10th floor.
