Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

Sunday
Miami
at New York Jets
the jets are struggling once again.
San Diego at Green Bay
this should be a good game, i think that san diego bounces back
San Francisco at Pittsburgh
this should be a good game to watch, ben has something to prove
Buffalo at New England
come on, is there really any compitition?
Minnesota at Kansas City
KC is weak this year, LJ cant run the ball and AD will run all over the lowly KC def
Detroit at Philadelphia
did you watch the monday night game?, washington destroyed them, the score may not have shown it, but if you seen the game, phili has a lot to work on.
St. Louis at Tampa Bay
the rams have some issues this year, if they cant run the ball, the same thing that happened to the saints last week will happen again.
Arizona at Baltimore
this shouldbe a good game, but defence will be the victor here
Indianapolis at Houston
this is my upset of the week. i think that this is going tobe a clasic. tho would have thunk it huh? Houston? were did they come from?
Jacksonville at Denver
horrible game this week, who cares?
Cleveland at Oakland
derek anderson is going to throw 5 more tds this week
Cincinatti at Seattle
cincinatti will score a crap load on seattle, they have a lot ot work on this year as well
Carolina at Atlanta
this should be intresting, as much as i am a fan of joey harrington, i think steve smith will score 4 tds on the crappy atlanta defence.
New York Giants at Washington
this should be good. washington comming off the big monday night win, they are excited for this week, but i think that eli has something to prove and i see another game like week one but with the g-men comming out on top
Dallas at Chicago
i dont think that chicago can handle tony romo this year. he is doing very well. and sexy rexy will blow it.

Monday
Tennessee at New Orleans
the saints will come back this week and beat the titans, i dont think by much but they will win. brees and bush wont let them goback to the days when they were called the 'aints.

St. Louis at Tampa Bay
Galloway's old, but he can still run.
Arizona at Baltimore
Ravens' D confounds Leinart
Indianapolis at Houston
yup.
Jacksonville at Denver

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 3

Sunday
Miami at New York Jets
Someone is always cheating at a Jets game. Question is, who's smart enough to not get caught? But seriously, Miami wins 16 - 13.
San Diego at Green Bay
Favre vs. Chargers Secondary or LT vs. the GB D? My money's on Favre for win #150 (not to mention home field advantage.)
San Francisco at Pittsburgh
No passing touchdowns yet for the 49ers. Not going to change this week.
Buffalo at New England
Moss + Welker + Brady = Burn
Minnesota at Kansas City
Not good when your RB is your leading receiver, KC.
Detroit at Philadelphia
Surprise vs. Disappointment. Dawkins hurting doesn't help the Eagles D.
St. Louis at Tampa Bay
No confidence in either team. Home field for the tie-break.
Arizona at Baltimore
A lot of injuries for the Ravens, but their D is still formidable.
Indianapolis at Houston
Freeney and Co. will expose the Houston O-line.
Jacksonville at Denver
Jags aren't listening... Run the $@#$ ball!
Cleveland at Oakland
After last week's shootout, they've wasted all their offense for the year and Shanahan screwed the Raiders out of a win.
Cincinnati at Seattle
Maybe facing the Bengal D will get the Seahawks O rolling... maybe.
Carolina at Atlanta
Smith for the win.
New York Giants at Washington
Giants won't do anything until Coughlin is gone.
Dallas at Chicago
Grossman...

Monday
Tennessee at New Orleans
First game at the Superdome sparked their season last year.

Touche.
Reason #2 to pick the Vikings: They actually play Defense.

P.S. I've dreamed up a tie-breaking system. Here's what I dreamed up:

1st tie break: Quality points, which is determined by how you picked compared to the majority of the competitors.
So if you choose against the majority / chose the underdog and they win = 2 points.
However, If they lose = -1 point.

2nd tie break: # of weeks that you participated in.

Tell me what you think.

For the people picking Houston, do you know Andre Johnson is out for the Colts game?

The texans have no shot whatsoever without Johnson.

Since when do the Titans have an over powering offense? They've scored 13 and 20 in points in their two games. They have a couple mid-level running backs, a dynamic (but overrated) quarterback who still struggles passing and an utter lack of quality WRs or catching TEs. Young is only averaging 5.82 yards/attempts, and only has one passing TD in two games. 33 points in two games is not overpowering by anyone's standards.

I know, and beg to differ. The Colts are one of the best home teams in the league, but have struggled on the road. Last year they were only 4-4 on the road, including losing to all three division opponents (like the Texans). Their biggest road win was 12 points (the Superbowl), and their average road win the past two years is less than TD. Factor in that the Texans are better than the team that beat the Colts last year (even without Andre Johnson, the additions of Ahman Green and Matt Schaub, namely, more than make up for that) and that I don't believe the Colts are as good as last year. Not to mention Matt Schaub's QB rating almost 10 points higher than Manning's atm. Or that Indianapolis is allowing more than 100 more rushing yards/game.

JACOBY JONES PWNS. I should get a bonus point if he has at least 100 yards receiving and a TD in Johnson's absence.

Sunday
Miami at New York Jets
San Diego at Green Bay (although Favre to Driver alllll day long, I hope)
San Francisco at Pittsburgh
Buffalo at New England (Lee Evans will have a big game, though, just because he can't be this bad......can he?)
Minnesota at Kansas City (Will LJ ever wake up?)
Detroit at Philadelphia (I officially reverse this pick if Westbrook starts)
St. Louis at Tampa Bay (I'm not feeling that 2500 yards from scrimmage, SJ.....)
Arizona at Baltimore
Indianapolis at Houston
Jacksonville at Denver
Cleveland at Oakland (Browns haven't won back to back games since 2003... Prove me wrong, guys.)
Cincinatti at Seattle
Carolina at Atlanta
New York Giants at Washington (What the heck?????)
Dallas at Chicago

Monday
Tennessee at New Orleans (Home opener)

I'd take that bet. The secondary is not the weakness of the Colts D-unit. And the pass rush (aka Freeney) will have Schaub running around/on his back.

Might practice today according to some sources and still might play even if he doesn't. So looks like you're taking the Eagles, but you're situational pick is noted.
