Thanks for the support... we are still confused at what really caused the damage but we definitely could fix it for Buckeye in a few weeks.

Your robot is quite impressive, especially the hybrid mode. Good luck on your next competition.

Also, i dont know if there is a video up, but when 272 shot their ball over the middle divider and it hit 1126's ball and stopped it from scoring, It had to have been the best play there for me

Re: 2008 Finger Lakes Regional

I won't pretend to speak for the rest of Team 1507, but I'm sure they'll express similar sentiments...

After having most of our team turned back to the school by the snow and a cranky school bus driver, we scrambled to get just a drive team there. I know I was pleasantly surprised that despite that, we did so well. Many, many thanks to all the teams who came up to us and offered help, even if it was just to cheer for us and make up for the lack of our team in the stands.

It was hard making alliance decisions. Choosing MOE was a great choice, but there could have been many other equally good choices. T-RX was a great partner too. I wasn't closely involved in the decision making, but I know a lot of close choices were involved. Both teams had a good chemistry with our drivers and we're proud of how we all played, even if we were eliminated.

Congratulations to the winning alliance 191, 20, 2053 and 174.

Thanks to our neighbor team, 378, the Circuit Stompers. We were rooting for you in the final round, congrats on the silver and thanks for helping us load our trailer. See you at GTR!

We had a long, harrowing ride home through the snow, but afaik we all made it back safely. We'll look forward to next year's FLR - hopefully without the snowstorm!

That was one of the most nuts and crazy thing I've ever seen at FLR...other than the huge topple of Tetras in Triple play.

there was also the part when MOE was falling and the track ball fell on the top of the middle wall and rolled close to the overpass. If only it landed on the overpass that would have been the most incredible thing ever.

FLR got so much fun at the Elims. Good times!

Talking Re: 2008 Finger Lakes Regional

FLR, what a competition! Please accept our apologies for leaving before the finals and award ceremony. We were fighting the weather and the health of many of the team members.

Lansdale Catholic Cyber-Crusaders team 272 would like to thank all the organizers, volunteers and teams involved in the 2008 Finger Lakes Regional. Team 365 mentioned it was a great regional so we took a chance going north in winter.

On the minus side we..
* had snow.
** sick students and mentors dropping left and right
*** broken parts, wires, IR devices,

We were dancing with Murphy all morning on Friday.

On the plus side we...
met many warm, passionate and humorous people.
witnessed and were part of some of the most competitive rounds we have ever seen this early in the season.
were part of a great alliance with 67 and 420 in the quarters and semis. Thanks to team 67 for giving us a shot.

We especially want to thank the judges for picking our design for the Xerox Creativity in Design Award. Additional thanks to teams for their team awards.

Congratulations to the winning alliance and all the award winners. Good luck for the rest of the season. You are all what makes FIRST great. Thanks for letting us share in it.

Wow, what a regional! I would like to thank everyone who helped out my team, especially 2053, for giving us a key part that broke.

dam 191, it sucks that your arm busted, hope you can fix it =O

moe, your robot is amazing, I thought we would go 2 and out against it

congrats to 340 and 1511!

even though it took us 5 hours to get home last night, I'd do it all over again ^.^

Thanks for the kind words. Your bot (Team 20) and many others (67, 1126, 191, 272, 1503 - I'm sure I am forgetting many) were also impressive. We knew that it would be a fight against your alliance in the semis and it was.

Congratulations on your victory and strategery (it is a word now, isn't it? ).

It was great being out there on the field with and against you guys.

Rocketeers ROCK!
