Sounds like a new canvas just waiting for a paintbrush!

My son used to bleach his hair and then use a theatrical make-up permanent hair-color for his green hair. Because the regionals would always be in March, some folks just assumed it was for St. Patricks Day. Not being a school based team also had misunderstandings. The principal of his school thought he was going through a "phase" each year, even though she had to approve his permission slip from the team, and after each season he would bring in this large green robot, to demonstrate it for the school, while he wore his bright green MOE jersey. It was only after he graduated that she finally put the whole picture together.

Since prom came very shortly after the Championships, it was interesting to see how much his hair woud grow out before that event.

Re: Crazy Hair

A nice tip for the girls, since the only ones posting are boys (y'all have cooties, by the way):
oops, except for michelle, nica, and jane.

-If you're going to spray your hair, pull it back somehow. What I've found works is your basic high pony with color spray from your local beauty supply store. You can do stripes, spots, or just color the whole thing! Go nuts!

-If you're really REALLY dedicated and want to do something permanent, but don't want to ruin your gorgeous locks because even though you're an engineer in training, you still have that smidge of femininity...

..try dying the tips of your hair. This can be done easily with a friend's help, and can always be cut off at the end of the event/season/whatever you choose.

With 1923's colors being silver and black, I hope to have black tips for NJ regional. That is, if my parents don't come after me with hedge clippers when they see it...

Re: Crazy Hair

I am in the process of finding new products. I bought 3 cans of orange to have some spare. I can check if they have some but warn you it's $15.00 per can.

OMG!!! Do you buy a gallon at a time?? lol
That's a little much..
Oh wait.. Canadian/American exchange rate ftw!!!
It should only be like 50 cents in America right?? j/k

Anyways.. I actually have left over cans of Orange from last year I'm going to be using for this weekend, but they discontinued the Orange which really grinds my gears! :-/

Now I have to find a supplier of some good brand of Orange (relatively cheap ie: Under 5 bucks a can) for Atlanta!!

I've already checked Ebay & found a good one. (maybe)
I'm gonna order one can tonight, and see how good it is if it gets here in time for Philadelphia hopefully, and then maybe order some more for Atlanta.

The longer it goes, the firmer it gets. I have gone to bed and when I awake, the same shape. Kids love to touch and pull and my hair goes nowhere. At the end of the day, less than 2 minutes in a hot shower and I am back to normal (no comments please).
Does that include the yellow and black wax you let our kids mix into your hair in 2003?

I tell everyone that it was team 48 that started me on the wild hair theme. I also tell them " DO NOT USE BEES WAX IN YOUR HAIR".

It took me 2 weeks to get the gunk out. It did get me a lot of positive remarks from the kids though. That is why I still do it today, just with a bit more thought on consequences.

Thanks, I needed that. Payback is sweet though. I guess that I will have to engineer another "Canadian Customs" plan.

Re: Crazy Hair

My FTC team is trying to convince me to dye my hair for Atlanta and a friend who does "theater tech" for a living suggested going to a Beauty Supply place and buying "semi-permanent" hair dye. Allegedly I'll be able to dye it before we leave and it will stay colored while we are there and I'll just have to wash it a bunch afterward to get the color out.
