Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

This season's going to be awesome and what's going to make it more fun is a lot of the F.I.R.S.T. lego league kids are going to come as well and support their mentors and some of the Colorado F.I.R.S.T. Lego League teams are coming to do demos somewhere.

Hey, for those who know Team 1636 - Reds Robotics from Arvada High School, even though we aren't an active team next semester, you can find us joining Team 1799 - Dakota Ridge High School. Happy Holidays everyone.

Aw man that's a bummer. But, at least you're still on a team. Team 1619 Up-A-Creek Robotics looks forward to seeing you all there!

Good luck from Team #1348 Kennedy Robotics.

Who is heading to Mines this weekend?

Make sure you stop by and see us at Mines and/or the Colorado Regional and our 4 wheel car style steering, the brainchild of our mentor Ted of teamcosmos.com (battle bots, really cool videos to watch, check 'em out).

Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

Hey Jaz, you guys have a pretty sweet looking bot, everyone loved the bumpers, hope the tower is fixed.

Well scrimmage was hectic but next year it's going to go a lot smoother and be more organized because apparently last minute someone decided I was going to run actual matches and keep score, and aggh! Next year we do it my way and input about the scrimmage would help out on how to make it better next year would help as well.

Hope everyone's bot is looking good because I know I'm excited to inspect each and every one(or almost all of them) at the competition. It's going to be fun.

Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

Good luck to everyone at the Denver regional!

We tried to come again this year, but the regional was full! and then they had to make room for more Colorado teams.

so, this year were going to be at the Bayou (New Orleans) regional.

1583 and 1636 (now part of 1799), we miss you guys. hopw you rock the regional again!

DUDE!! I miss you guys! 1583 is looking good, 1799 is another story, we'll see, a situation had occurred between the team and the Mentor Program, but we'll see. Next year though, we're trying to bring back 1636 or start a rookie team that will welcome the Arvada kids because Dakota Ridge High School is much too far of a drive for them. Anyway, good luck to 555 down in Louisana, hopefully I might see you guys at Champs perhaps(depending if I can go).

Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

Team 1592 can't wait to go to Colorado. We finally have an excuse to dig out our pants and non 90 degree weather clothes...lol.

We will be flying in on Tuesday the 24th, and going to play paintball that day. Then we are going skiiing on Wednesday, hopefully no one will get hurt this year...(last year we had a slight injury after going to Waterloo). It's probabilly nothing to you all but we have some members that have never seen snow! I myself first saw snow when we went to Waterloo last year.

We have heard lots of great things about the Colorado regional and we wanted to join in the fun. Good Luck to all the teams and see you all in a few weeks!

Re: 2008 Colorado Regional

Team 1158 has just returned from the San Diego Regional and boy what a tournament. We were involved in Match 45 (our alliance won 120-106) which was a real suspenseful match. I know Colorado will be just as exciting. Good luck teams.

I'd take those clothes too. It might be 90 degrees, or snowing, or mild, it could be raining too. In fact, there's a good chance we'll hit all of these over three days.

I dont think our San Diego Team will be very happy haha. Ive never even seen snow, and personally am very scared to go to Denver considering anything below 50 is like freezing!!

me neither CO is alot more fun when it's warmer out, my team last year was going to see if we could had a water fight with one of the other teams we were really good friends with because the week was getting hotter and hotter and then all of a sudden we were hit with snow the morning of practice day.

Check www.usfirst.org in the regional events section, they list the regionals and "open capcity".. As I'm posting this, it says there's room for two more teams but I would check and make sure with the senior mentor or RD and see if you can still come if possible (considering funds, travel, and lodging)..the more teams the better.
